Movie Review-Fast and Furious 7
Movie Review-Fast and Furious 7
I had the
opportunity of watching this thrilling action packed movie at the Manekshaw
Auditorium a few weeks ago.
I will briefly
narrate the story before reviewing it.
Dominic, Brian, Letty, Roman and Tej are
approached by Frank to acquire a device called 'God's Eye' designed by a
hacker, Ramsey. This is a backdrop for the real confrontation - Deckard Shaw
who seeks revenge from Dominic for the death of his younger brother. From the
US to Azerbaijan, then Dubai and back to Los Angeles, the fight is, indeed,
both fast and furious.
The Director James Wan has crafted a movie with some amazing death-defying stunts and great cars. There is an additional emotional appeal because of the untimely death of Paul Walker during the shooting of the film in a car.

The plot of this film has the best car chase
and action scenes recently seen on screen. We get a taste of what's to come in
the beginning, when Shaw and Dom, ram their cars into each other head-on. They
then step out of their mangled metal steeds and almost come to blows before Dom
is rescued by Frank, who calls himself 'Mr Nobody'. A deal is struck: Dom and
his crew will help Frank nab the terrorist Jakande and the 'God's Eye' device
and in return, Dom can use the device to locate Shaw.
The extreme action and explosions in the film come along with some emotional moments. A funeral scene where the crew is bidding goodbye to a fallen comrade is especially moving given Walker's death. The send-off to Walker's character is so subtle and real that it left my eyes moist.
